MESA took part in Salone SRI 2025, the event dedicated to sustainable finance organized by EticaNews, which this year celebrated its tenth edition. The initiative took place on 18 and 19 November at Palazzo Mezzanotte, home of Borsa Italiana in Milan, and brought together players from the financial sector, companies and professionals interested in ESG topics and in the evolution of sustainability analysis tools.

The Salone is one of the main moments of discussion for the world of responsible finance. The first day was dedicated to finance sector operators, while the second opened the debate to a wider audience interested in exploring topics related to sustainability, data transparency and new technologies applied to ESG analysis.

During the event, Matteo Giudici, CEO of MESA, took part in the leadership panel titled “Transition Plans, fairy tales or reality? How AI increases the credibility of ESG and climate data”.

The panel explored the topic of assessing climate Transition Plans, increasingly central tools for understanding how companies intend to approach the path towards decarbonization. In this context, artificial intelligence can represent an important enabling factor, making data analysis faster, deeper and verifiable.

The use of AI-based tools makes it possible to analyze large amounts of information and support investors and companies in understanding ESG risks and opportunities, helping to strengthen the credibility of assessments. This is a particularly relevant aspect also for operators active in private markets, where access to structured and comparable data is often more limited.

During Salone SRI 2025, Silvia Mangiavini, ESG & Public Relations Officer of MESA, also illustrated the company’s work in developing its own “AI sentinels”.

These are artificial intelligence agents designed to operate in the background, with the aim of identifying errors or gaps in the data and flagging them promptly, thereby helping to improve the efficiency and reliability of analysis processes.

The use of AI allows professionals to devote greater attention to higher value-added activities, while at the same time maintaining oversight and final responsibility in the hands of people, a fundamental element to ensure the quality of assessments.

In the video below, Silvia Mangiavini explores the role of artificial intelligence in ESG analysis and presents MESA’s approach to developing its own technological solutions.
